Serves : 2
Carrots - 3/4 cup
Curd - 1 cup
Red chili powder - 1/4 tsp
Chat masala - 1/4 tsp
Roasted cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Salt - As required
Ghee - 1 tsp
Aseifetida - A pinch
Mustard seeds ( optional) - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 5/6
How to make:
Rinse, peel and grate carrots using grater and set aside. In mixing bowl beat curs with salt & sugar till it creamy and silky.
Add red chili powder, chat masala and cumin powder stir well. Add grated carrots and mix, set aside.
Heat a small pan with ghee, add ingredients under to "temper". Pour this over curd and give it a good mix.
Let the raita sit for 1o minutes before serving. Serve this raita with hot pulao/Biryani.
Adding hing gives a different flavor.
Also you can add finely chopped green chilies.
