Instant Bread Medu Vada–Easy Snack Recipe

              I made this instant vada on my last tea party and my friends and kids loved these crunchy and tasty vadaParty smile. As soon as I placed snack for kids, they had it within no time. I surprised & quickly made new batch. Ah I am so happy that everyone enjoyed these instant snackIn love. Under 30 minutes you can make a tempting and tasty snack. This is absolutely crowd pleaser. A perfect starter for any party, get together or any small function. Do try it out this instant medu vada……..

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 20 minutes | Serves: 10-11

 

Ingredient

Bread slices

5-6

Curd

1/2 cup

Rice flour

1/4 cup

Suji/rava

1/2 cup

Onion (chopped)

1 small

Coriander leaves (chopped)

2 tbsp

Curry leaves

4-5

Crushed green chili

1/2 tsp

Cumin

1/2 tsp

Ajwain/Carom seeds

1/4 tsp

Salt

to taste

Oil

For Frying

 

How to make?

  • In a mixing bowl take a bread slices and make small pieces. Add onion, coriander leaves, rava, curd, rice flour, curry leaves, cumin seeds, carom seeds and salt.

  • Mix all the ingredients and form a dough. Pinch a small dough and roll out in to ball. Gently press and make a donut shape. Apply same procedure with rest dough.

  • Heat oil in a pan, drop 2-3 vada at a time. Fry on both sides till it becomes golden brown on medium flame. Drain on paper towel.

  • Serve hot vada with ketchup or coriander chutney.

Note:

  • Use any bread like white, multigrain, brown etc.

  • You can also add grated paneer, cabbage etc

  • Replace green chili with red chili powder.
