Cheesy Paneer Squares–Snacks Recipe

This is something I tried long back for potluck in our apt. Everyone has confused about the filling and spices. kids loved these square a lotHot smile. I made around 50-60 and it vanished within few minutes. I saw this recipe on cooking show and write down the method. One day tried for my family and they loved it. so decided to make for potluck. I thought I will post on my blog too, so here is easy and yummy ‘’cheesy paneer squares’’ recipe. I made Cheesy Paneer Squares recipe for “Shhhhh Cooking Secretly Challenge”conducted by Priya. This month I paired with Nayna and she gave me paneer and mint as secret ingredient. I tried this squares with paneer and mint. Hope you all like thisIn love.

Cheesy Paneer Squares Recipe

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Cook time: 30 minutes | Makes: 10-12

 

Ingredient

Paneer(crumbled)

1/2 cup

sweet corn

1/3 cup

Onion(chopped)

1/2 cup

Spinach

1 cup

Mint leaves

6-7

All purpose flour

1 cup

Pepper powder

A pinch

Garlic (chopped)

1 tsp

Butter

1 tbsp

Green chilli paste

1/2 tsp

white pepper powder

1/2 tsp

Salt

To taste

Oil

For frying

 

How to make?

  • Wash spinach and chop roughly. Chop mint leaves and add into spinach. Microwave this for 2 minutes or Boil water and blanch spinach and mint for 2 min. Drain water and keep aside.

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil and add into flour. Take a bowl, add flour, pepper powder salt, heated oil and mix well. Add water slowly and make stiff/thick dough.

  • Take all the ingredients.  Heat 1 tsp oil in pan. Add chopped garlic and fry for few seconds. Then add onion and fry till translucent.

  • Add blanch spinach and cook for 2 minutes.Add sweet corn, green chilli paste and white pepper powder and salt.  Fry for a minute. Add butter and mix well. Turn flame on low.

  • Finally add paneer and mix well. Turn off gas and transfer the mixture into plate and keep aside to cool down. Divide dough into 4 equal balls.

  • Take a one ball and roll out thin. Make square using knife and collect all scrap. Again draw horizontal and vertical line and divide square into four equal parts.

  • Take 2 square slice, place 1 tsp filling on the center and place another slice on top and seal the edges tightly by pressing fork. apply same process with rest dough balls.

  • Heat oil for frying. Fry squares on medium flame till golden brown in color. Drain on paper towel.

  • Serve hot with ketchup or hot tea, Enjoy!!

Notes :

  • For stuffing, you can use other veggies like carrot, cabbage , beans or dry fruits.

  • Serve hot and eat hot.
