Boondi Raita


          Raita is always a gr8 accompaniment for spicy curries, pulao or any stuffed paratha’s. An Indian meal is never complete without raita or plain yogurt. Boondi are crispy and salted fried chickpea balls that your easily available in any grocery stores. Boondi raita is Boondi with curd and some chatpata ingredient.

She makes the best halwa. It is very simple and easy to make except grating part. Always choose juicy and tender carrots, they easily grate.

             Always We can see in all Italian restaurants, there are special kids menu which includes first ‘’Mac n cheese’’ accompanied with some fruit punch or veggie. Every kid love to eat cheesy and creamy macaroniOpen-mouthed smile I thought to try this. I goggled it and found this interesting recipe. I made slightly variations. Nothing complicated…..this easy and yummy recipe which I make often.  This mac n cheese is not only super creamy and cheesy, its packed with nutrious veggie like sweet peas, broccoli . Corn Kadhi – Sweet Corn Kadhi

           Today I am preparing very famous dish from Gujarat i.e. Sweet corn kadhi. Sweet corn is my favorite veggie.  I love to use sweet corn in everything pulao, chaat, snacks. The weather in whole week has been rainy and cloudy, so I wanted to make something healthy and relaxing. Last week I used some corn kernels to make Corn Candy and I saw 1/2 packet in my pantry. So decided to make Corn Kadhi. Everyone makes different variations to make flavorful kadhi by adding tomato,onion, spinach, methi etc. Corn kadhi is easy, light and flavorful. Try & enjoy it!!

Parsley Garlic bread- Garlic Bread sticks Recipe

             When we are getting bored of eating regular meal then we just order pizza & we don’t forget to order bread-sticks! Breadsticks are the best par while ordering pizza.  Whenever we went to Italian restaurant,  my daughters first choice would be ‘’Garlic bread with dipping sauce’’Pizza.  We love those Soft Garlic Parmesan Breadsticks. Then I thought to make it at home.  This Parsley Garlic bread is made with fresh parsley.  Just a handful of parsley you need. Homemade Garlic bread is real treat. Crispy and garlic infusing every last bite !! This recipe is adapted from Divya’s blog with slight variations.:) :)
        I made Parsley Garlic Bread recipe for “Shhhhh Cooking Secretly Challenge”conducted by Priya. This is my first entry to this challenge and I am paired with Sandhya Ramakrishnan. My secret ingredient is Parsley and Bulgur wheat. I thought I will make khichdi or tikki but unable to deal with buckle wheat so I  used parsley and made this Garlic bread.  Enjoy this delicious, cheesy garlic bread !!

       Everyone wants to eat something spicy, chatpata snack in the evening. I usually make bhaji, bonda, bhel, corn chat etc but in last week I tried corn candy and its finish with no time. This is ultimately crowd pleaser and keeper snacks for any party, get together or tea parties.

Orange Rice–Naringi Pulao


                On lazy weekend,Winking smile I prefer to make instant lunch or dinner and want to spend quality time with family. Also I plan my daily menu in a way that my family gets nutritious and healthy meal. Sunday morning, I entered in the kitchen and opened fridge to see the pantry. There was less veggies and one big can of orange juice.Thinking smileThen I clicked, I ate this rice in one of my friends party. Immediately I called her and asked this simple recipe. My family loved this sweet and orange flavored rice.

Masala Chaas / Masala Taak / Mattha / Masala Buttermilk


           Masala taak/chaas is very easy to make, very soothing, cooling drink. This is typical Maharashtrian drink  which can be served in Maharashtrian homes after heavy spicy meal. Its enjoyed during summer. In summer days, a bowl of fresh masala taak at the end part of our lunch or dinner. This is very flavored drink with different spices like Asafetida, salt,sugar, ginger, cilantro and cumin powder.

           Masala taak brings lot of childhood memories. I remember, daily a milkman come early in the morning on his cycle to deliver the regular milk and me or my mom take a fresh milk in wide steel pot. This very exciting, but now a days “’Pune’’ is well develop city and all the things can be home deliver within a time. We hard to see this milkman and their milk kettles Sad smile

           Whenever I went for India trip, I always prefer my dad’s fav restaurant ‘’Durvankur’’ thali menu. They serve delicious Maharashtrian meal.  In Pune there are lots of hotels serving Maharashtrian, Guajarati, Rajasthani thali meals with unlimited masala taak. It helps to cool your body and digest a spicy meal.

Eggless Blueberry Muffins


       Blueberry muffins are my daughters favoriteIn love. She likes to eat blueberries as it is or in the form of muffin. When she is craving for this muffins, I use to buy it from store. This was top item in my shopping list. This time I decided to try out this soft, fluffy, delicious muffins! My daughter had it and liked it too.

        If you don’t have fresh blueberries, you can add Choco chips, nuts or dry fruits or any fruit bits. Also you can try out plain muffins, these taste so good! I couldn’t stop admiring these beauties.
