Aam Panna recipe

DSC_2219_edited-1

As weather is changing day by day, we get clear indication of summer Sun. Its is just around the corner. What can be the better than the flavor of raw mango. “Raw mango panna” is the ultimate drink to survive in summer.

‘Chaitra’ is the first month of Marathi calendar. In this auspicious month we celebrate ‘Chaitra Gauri Haldi Kumkum’. This is mainly for girls and ladies. We prepare some snacks which is made from raw mango like raw mango with lentil (Kairichi dal) and Aam panna. We invite gals and ladies staying nearby to come and enjoy this function. My mom would keep a large woke of panna ready for this function.

I think she makes the best Panna in the worldOpen-mouthed smile. I have used her recipe. Here is the quick recipe to this summer chiller.Martini glass

Notes :

  • The above prepared paste of mango pulp can be refrigerated for 3-4 days.

  • You can add roasted cumin powder or mint leaves for extra flavor.

  • You can also add jaggery after making paste of pulp. Make sure, jaggery should be grated or crushed finely.

  • You can add 1/3 cup of sugar instead of jaggery.

  • Do not add water while grinding.
