Aloo Paratha–How To roll out Aloo Paratha

                    Aloo Paratha are most popular dish in various Indian families.An Indian flatbread stuffed with spicy potato filling.Today I make aloo parathas for breakfast as it involves less preparation and taste awesum. As the stuffed parathas are difficult to handled, you need lots of practice to roll out aloo paratha.  Aloo paratha is great and healthy meal yet tastes yumm Laughing out loud. My family loves to eat this yummy and simple paratha with curd/pickle.Try this simple and healthy recipe with stepwise picture and video too.

 

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 30 minutes | Makes: 6

 

For Dough

Whole wheat flour

1 cup

Salt

To taste

water

As needed

 

For stuffing

Boiled Potatoes

2 large

Turmeric

1/4 tsp

Cumin Powder

1/2 tsp

Ajwain

1/2 tsp

Cilantro

3 tsp

Chat Masala

1/4 tsp

Salt

As needed

Lime juice

1 tsp

 

How to make ?

  • Take wide bowl mix wheat flour, salt and required water. Make sure,dough should not be too tough or too loose.keep dough covered for 30 min.

  • Pressure cook potatoes for 5 whistles,mashes them evenly to avoid any lumps. add dry spices like turmeric,cumin powder, ajwain, cilantro, chat masala with required salt. Add lime juice and mix well.

  • Divide kneaded dough and stuffing into equal small size ball. Roll out dough ball to thick disc-size.Place the stuffing ball into middle of the dough and seal it together from all sides.

  • Stuffed dough dip into dry flour and roll out stuffed paratha  very gently.

  • Heat pan and put parathas carefully, sprinkle some drops of oil / ghee. cook the parathas both sides till paratha turn out golden brown.

  • Serve hot paratha with pickle,curd.
