Cauliflower Peas Fry

Cauliflower peas Fry – In childhood, my mom (aai) was giving me this cauliflower with peas subji, once in week in my lunch box ,and wonder my tiffin was getting finished in few mins. The taste and flavors are awesum, the way she make it! I tried to made this same way and this turned out so delicious. This is very easy and quick recipe for lunch box or when you are in jiffy !!Open-mouthed smile
 
Prep Time: 10 minutes    | Cook time: 20 minutes    Serves: 4
 

Ingredient

Quantity

Cauliflower (1 Pound )

1 No

Peas ( I used frozen)

1 cup

Tomato

2

Turmeric

1/2 tsp.

Coriander powder

1 tsp.

Red chili powder

1/2 tsp.

Cilantro

1/2 cup

Oil

2 tsp

Salt

As per taste

Water

1/2 cup

 

For Temper

Ingredient

Muster seeds

½ tsp

Cumin seeds

½ tsp

Curry Leaves

½ spring

Garlic cloves

How to make?

  • Cut cauliflower and tomato evenly.  Keep cauliflower florets in large bowl of water and microwave about 5 min or you can boil them over gas (This Process is to kill any kind of germs or insects inside the florets)

  • Drain water completely from cauliflower.

  • Heat oil in large pan. Add items under section ‘’for temper’’. Cook for 30 seconds.

  • Add tomatoes and salt . Cook till tomatoes get mushy.

  • Add peas, cauliflower florets and dry spices (turmeric, coriander powder, red chili powder)

  • Add 1/2 cup water and cook till vegetables get done.

  • Garnish with chopped cilantro.Serve with hot roti's or rice.

Notes:

  • This is dry curry,if you want to make gravy you can add more tomato puree.

  • You can pick any vegetables with cauliflower like corn,carrot .

  • Do not add florets directly into curry. Let them boil first then add it.
